Anton Popov
PhD, Associate Professor

Graduated with honors from the Department of Microelectronics in 2003 specializing in biomedical sensors. Defended PhD thesis in 2006 entitled "Development of methods and tools for processing electroencephalograms for epileptology. Works at Laboratory of Diagnostics, senior researcher of the laboratory of medical electronics of NTUU "KPI". Author of 60 scientific publications.

Since July 2010 - Vice-dean of College of Electronics on science and international collaboration. Scientific advisor of 10 undergraduate and 8 graduate students.

Member of Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Counselor of IEEE KPI Student Branch.

Research interests:

  • brain electrical activity analysis, epilepsy diagnostics, epileptic patterns" localization;
  • depth of anaesthesia monitoring, epileptic seizures prediction and control, neurostimulation;
  • heart rate variability analysis;
  • structural analysis of EEG and ECG;
  • brain-computer interface;
  • brain evoked potentials" analysis;
  • adaptive signal decompositions, overcomplete basis function"s dictionaries;
  • pattern recognition, adapted templates, metrics ans similarity measures;
  • multidimentional signal processing, time-frequency analysis;
  • adaptive signal and image processing, wavelet transform, new signal transforms in diagnisctics, therapy and monitoring;
  • nonstationary signals" analysis, higher-order spectral analysis;
  • chaoticity of brain dynamics with applications to diagnostics.
